‘Rob Gronkowski’ Greyhound Wins Prestigious $20,000 Puppy Stakes

Our friends from the Palm Beach Kennel Club sent word last night that the infamous Rob Gronkowski greyhound won the prestigious $20,000 Puppy Stakes on Labor Day.

According to the PBKC:

The “Gronk” was first out of the starting box and the battle was on for supremacy for the lead entering the backstretch.

As it turned out, the biggest threat for the Gronk was his own Rader Racing kennel mate, Vagrant, followed by the only Greyhound to beat the Gronk in qualifying, Relativity.

But Gronkowski was not to be denied. He dug in his paws and muscled his way to the lead.

You really need to watch the replay to hear the stretch run call from the track announcer. Priceless.
