Mark Parent Getting Run Has To Be Quickest Ejection In MLB History

If you’re White Sox bench coach Mark Parent and you’re looking to get a Sunday off, what’s the best way to get out of working?

Get run during the exchange of lineup cards.

According to ESPN, crew chief Jerry Layne and the White Sox coaching staff had a rough weekend

No reason was given for the ejection, but manager Robin Ventura said afterward that the dispute went back to an unspecified incident from Saturday’s game.

The most questionable call in Saturday’s contest between the White Sox and Texas Rangers came in the fourth inning. Alexei Ramirez slid well ahead of the throw, but home-plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt ruled that Rangers catcher A.J. Pierzynski blocked Ramirez’s foot from touching the plate.
