Jim Tressel was on the Dan Patrick Show this morning and said he’s not actively looking for a coaching job and seems to believe he won’t coach again. His other big revelation from the show is that he’d take Braxton Miller over Johnny Manziel.

And in even bigger news from Tressel is that he’ll teach a coaching class at Akron.

Expanding on his role as Vice President for Student Success at the University of Akron, he’ll be teaching a course entitled “General Principles of Coaching.” Joining him in the classroom will be former Zips head coach Jim Dennison, who gave Tressel his first college gig back in 1974. Tressel won four national championships at Youngstown State before taking over in Columbus in 2001.

It will cost $499 to enroll in the Wednesday class and will last 16 weeks (6:40 PM – 9:10 PM).

According to the class listing:

Tentative guest speakers include UA basketball coaches Keith Dambrot and Jodi Kest, UA football coach Terry Bowden, UA men’s soccer coach Jared Embick, New York Giants scout Steve Devine and others

Classes start August 26. Get enrolled.
