Former ESPN sideline hottie Jenn Brown has landed at the NFL Network. Brown will host “Total Access” this Thursday, stepping in for Amber Theoharis, who is on maternity leave.
Since leaving ESPN in March, Brown has been seen co-hosting “Ninja Warriors” on NBC. Yeah, we didn’t watch it either.
It once seemed that Brown would step in for Erin Andrews on ESPN’s featured college football broadcasts and College GameDay, but reporter Sam Ponder (nee Steele) leapfrogged Brown, relegating her to Saturday noon telecasts from second-tier games.
Given a choice between “The League” and Rutgers or Boston College football, girlfriend is going to go NFL every time. We would, too.
Say what you will, but the Worldwide Leader now faces a serious dearth of female talent. Between Fox Sports 1’s poaching of Charissa Thompson and the departure of Brown, ESPN better start looking hard at some of the regional markets (Boston, for instance).
