Tell me if you’ve heard this one before: the Red Sox and Yankees played a long, slow game on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball. …zzzzzz…
Mike Napoli’s walk-off home run gave Boston an 8-7 win in 11 innings, but most of the nation probably missed it because they were asleep when the game ended nearly five hours after it started. At one point, it was taking an unbearable 30 seconds between pitches.
Twitter users noticed, especially right around 11 p.m. (ET) when they tuned in for SportsCenter:
I wanted to watch Sportscenter… But the fucking Yankees and Red Sox can’t hurry their shit up
