Cleveland Indians Fake Hotel Names This Weekend In Minnesota

Major league players often travel under fake names to keep jersey chasers from bothering them. The Cleveland Indians have taken the pseudonyms to a new level this weekend in Minnesota.

A Twitter user sent ESPN’s Darren Rovell a photo of the Indians’ room assignments in Minnesota this weekend. Hotel personnel apparently slipped it under his door by mistake.

Included on the Tribe’s roster were the following names:

Jed Clampett
C. Electra
Mr. Romeo
Jake Taylor
Dick Tracy
S. Twain
Denzel Washington
Tar Zann

Impressive. If the Indians actually had some of those people, Indians’ fans might care a little more about the team.

The players presumably cloaked by the names (in no particular order): Carlos Santana, Mark Reynolds, Nick Swisher, Michael Bourn, Jason Giambi, Ubaldo Jimenez, Justin Masterson and manager Terry Francona.

Matching the real player with his fake name will be the most fun you’ll have at Cleveland bars this weekend. Even if the Indians don’t make the playoffs this year, you can’t say they aren’t having fun in “Bro-hio.”
