John Calipari’s Sweet Tommy Bahama Shirt Inspires Twitter Contest

While he’s not having the same off-season as his rival Rick Pitino, Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari is doing just fine. In addition to landing another killer recruiting class, Coach Cal is traveling the country and apparently preparing for when his waistline reaches Andy Reid-like proportions.

Check out his look for Saturday’s Yankees-Orioles game in the Bronx:

I’ve had 25 people ask me about the shirt I wore to the Yankees game on Saturday. Where do you think I got it from?

Calipari almost gave the shirt away out of his closet to the Twitter user who guessed its origins. He thought better of it — because he likes the shirt that much — and changed the game, offering an autographed sweatsuit as a prize to the follower with the most clever answer as to where the TB shirt came from:

Here’s a better look at the sweatsuit:

Spoiler alert: It’s a Tommy Bahama special from the Jersey Shore (we assume Atlantic City).
Hopefully a potential recruit doesn’t win the contest. Wouldn’t want the NCAA to get involved.

Personally, we can’t wait until Calipari starts looking like the late, great Ray Meyer of DePaul. Dude’s been too attractive for too long.
