Aaron Rodgers: ‘I’m Like The Scott Stapp’ (Creed) Of The Packers

Aaron Rodgers Creed

Aaron Rodgers is ready for some football. With more than two months until the start of regular season games, the Green Bay Packers‘ star quarterback has been going stir crazy and logging some heavy Twitter time, including commenting on the NBA Draft and defending himself from murder charges.

Last night/early this morning, Rodgers mentioned “getting the band back together.” We assumed he meant Packers training camp, but who knows; he does have his own record label.

Bout time to get the band back together @EricBanks @ebak92 @ClayMatthews52 @FrancisBlay @rcobb18 #hashtag

I’m like the Scott stapp of our band, n @ClayMatthews52 is like mark tremonti, always trying to form his own band…

…that sounds like our band but doesn’t quite sell as many records. @rcobb18 and @FrancisBlay didn’t wanna play in @ClayMatthews52 new band

That may be the first time anyone successful has made themselves analogous with Creed. Maybe Rodgers will change his end zone celebration to Stapp’s “arms wide open?”

Here’s how tough times are for Creed: people don’t even take shots at them anymore (because Nickelback).

Anyway, Rodgers needs to get to training camp soon before he starts making Amanda Bynes jokes. Hopefully, he has figured out a way to beat the Niners’ defense this off-season.
