Just a day after we showed you Avery Johnson’s 14,000 sq. ft. Texas pad, our friends at Realtor come back with news that Chipper Jones is selling his 23,000 sq. ft. Georgia mansion. Chip’s place has only six bedrooms, but comes in a little heavy in the bathroom department with 11.
Purchased in 2005 for $4,330,000, the former Braves third baseman has set the asking price at $3,195,000. Don’t worry about Chip. He can afford to take the loss. The guy made $168,552,133 over his MLB career.
It makes sense that Chip is selling this enormous waste of space. He’s recently divorced and doesn’t need 11 bathrooms. He and his Playboy girlfriend enjoy time in a smaller, 4,500 sq. ft. house, according to Realtor.
Highlights of Chip’s Georgia Mansion:
• 3-car garage
• 6 fireplaces
• 2.52 acres; pretty nice pool; move-in ready
Mortgage: $16,500 (plus air conditioning for this place)
