Blackhawks Fan Grows A Stanley Cup Playoff Lawn Beard, City Not Amused

Meet Chicago Blackhawks fan Frank Miller. He’s growing a Stanley Cup playoff beard…in his yard.

According to NBC Chicago:

But at some point the city of Park Ridge — and perhaps some of his neighbors — decided they weren’t as impressed with Miller’s display of Hawks loyalty. And that’s when someone paid him a  visit last month.

“I was watching the playoffs one night with my son and hear a lawn mower going off, and I come outside, ‘What are you doing?’ The guy was cutting my lawn with a giant industrial-sized mower, and he said that the city had come and paid him to cut my lawn,” Miller said.

It seemed that Frank’s playoff lawn beard dreams were over when the city had his grass cut. Of course the Blackhawks are now in the Stanley Cup Finals and a Game 7 would be played Wednesday, June 26.

Frank will be ready, according to CBS Chicago.

“When the Hawks have won (it all), that’s when I’ll cut it,” he says.
