The Baltimore Orioles announced late Tuesday night that they will call-up highly touted 2012 first-round draft pick Kevin Gausman from Double-A Bowie to make his MLB debut on Thursday in Toronto. Less than a year out of LSU, Gausman will try to become the Orioles first legitimate home-grown stud starter since Mike Mussina.
Whenever you hear about Gausman and his potential promise, you’ll likely hear about his various superstitions, including eating one powdered donut before taking the mound and four donuts in between every inning he pitches. Since Gausman will be starting in Canada, we assume the O’s team bus will stop at Tim Horton’s on the way to Rogers Centre.
What you won’t hear often enough in regard to Gausman is that his long-time girlfriend is LSU football cheerleader Taylor North.
So extremely proud of this amazing guy for getting the big call and for all of his hard work that got… instagram.com/p/ZnanYjTCQP/

No word on whether or not North will be in Toronto to see Gausman make his MLB debut, but he figures to get a few chances to stick in 2013. North also raises the game of the Orioles’ WAGs, who haven’t had a high profile since the days of Anna Benson.
