The NFL never stops in its pursuit of talent, even if that means recruiting European strongmen who make Arnold Schwarzenegger look like Danny DeVito. Colts’ blog Stampede Blue reported Monday that team owner and CEO Jim Irsay was interested in Hafthor Bjornsson, the 6’9″ 419-pound Icelandic strongman who finished third in the 2012 World’s Strongest Man competition. Irsay would like Bjornsson, 24, to play nose tackle (we’d like to have seen him play Bane, amirite?).
Off/Def Lineman,so many 6-3 to 6-7..320-365 lbs/Big,Physical and Nasty! Speaking of size/strength..GM Grig’s just might sign “The Icelander”

Is it all a joke? Maybe, but consider the European market: the NFL doesn’t have a foothold there, and they want one. Bjornsson used to play basketball before injuring his knee and turning to weights, which caused him to take on superhero proportions. With a name like Hafthor, he was already thisclose to being a comic book character. No deal has been offered to Bjornsson, but it would make things interesting at Colts’ training camp.
