The Reds beat the Nationals, 15-0, on Friday night. Which team was the guy in green in the photo above cheering for? Yeah. Serious Nattitude. MLB should jump on this guy. Grumpy Cat is bigger than Facebook right now. Here what else we’ve seen this weekend:
“Extra” host and occasional pro wrestler Maria Menounos (pictured above with Stephanie McMahon) was booed by fans while inducting former WWE champ Bob Backlund into the WWE Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. The ceremonies came a day before the organization’s WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view event at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday night. Other than Donald Trump and John Cena, Menounos received the loudest boos. Backlund and Trump joined Trish Stratus, Bruno Sammartino, Mick Foley and Booker T in the WWE’s HoF class of 2013. You can see the full ceremony on USA on Tuesday night.
The Iron Sheik was among the many wrestling legends that descended on New York City for Saturday’s WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. The Sheik caught up with former ECW lunatic The Sandman during a wrestling expo on Saturday afternoon. Seriously, watching WrestleMania over beers with these two guys would be amazing (and might lead to jail time).
Michigan won and fans immediately found a couch to burn in Ann Arbor. How does this always happen? Does the couch get sent to a undeveloped nation if the team doesn’t win, or do they still burn it (in anger)?
Dickie V took time to hang out with the Louisville dance team in what looks to be the Silence of the Lambs room of the Georgia Dome. WTF? Can we get some light here?
Arizona State has baseball cheerleaders? One more reason to go there. Actually four, if you’re counting.
