Yankees Fans Catch Early Train Home From Today’s Opener

Yes, the weather at Yankee Stadium took a turn for the worse late in today’s home opener against the Red Sox. How many people do you count in that photo with umbrellas? The weather wasn’t that bad. Yes, the Yankees were getting drilled 8-2 in the 9th. But this is just inexcusable from the Yankee faithful.

Don’t you think Vernon Wells could jack a three-run shot to cut into that lead? Travis Hafner could come up with the bases loaded and change the game. Maybe Lyle Overbay comes off the bench with some dramatics.

Uh, nevermind.

Get used to it, Yankees fan, you’re in for a long year of heading home early.
