Red Sox David Ross And Jonny Gomes Went Alligator Hunting At Spring Training

David Ross and Jonny Gomes Gator Hunting

The Boston Red Sox begin their spring training schedule against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday afternoon. With so many colorful heroes of Red Sox Nation’s glory days long gone, the Sox haven’t had many guys who were fun to watch. Things may be changing this spring — hell, even Dustin Pedroia has a Twitter account.

On Friday, catcher David Ross (codename: Blue Wolf) and outfielder Jonny Gomes (codename: Ironsides) got ready for the Grapefruit League season by jumping in an airboat and heading out to find some gators in the Everglades. The whole trip was filmed for Red Sox Productions video. We’ll post/link to the clips when we get them.

Gator hunting was a success. They fit right in. #RedSoxProductions video coming soon. cc: @jenbags4

Maybe new Sox manager John Farrell can arrange a Sox Camo Uni Night at Fenway?
