ESPN announcer Dick Vitale walked into a plate glass window prior to tonight’s ESPN broadcast of the Michigan – Ohio State game at Crisler Arena. The incident was first reported on Twitter by Brandon Castel of Ohio State blog The-Ozone.net. Vitale was attended to by paramedics at the arena.

Vitale, 73, is apparently fine, but he allegedly suffered a cut to his face. The loud, longtime college basketball analyst text messaged ESPN that he was ok.

Perhaps he was blinded by Michigan’s BRIGHT YELLOW JESREYS (there, they call it maize).
@CFBSectionIt was announced earlier today that Vitale will call 2013 Final Four games and the national title contest for ESPN International. The international arm of the WWL broadcasts to 150 countries in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Canada.
Update: Yeah, he’s OK.
