Auburn Fan Who Robbed Florida Bank Busted At I-10 Truck Stop [Cuff ‘Em]

What a horrible seven days for Auburn University. Not only did the school fire Gene Chizik and get blown out by Alabama, now Auburn is being embarrassed by their fans. Here’s 25-year-old Jordan Kyle Townsend. He just happened to wear this disguise Monday when he robbed a Florida SunTrust Bank.

He was apprehended late Monday afternoon at the truck stop near Bagdad in Santa Rosa County. Investigators believe he was attempting to flee the state.

Townsend has a permanent address in Alabama but has been living in DeFuniak Springs with his girlfriend, said Lt. Tilman Mears with the DeFuniak Springs Police Department.

He is charged with walking into the bank and threatening to pull out a weapon if the bank teller didn’t do as he asked.

The teller complied and gave the robber a certain amount of money. Police have not yet released how much was stolen.

And the ultimate insult to Auburn, according to WJHG-Panama City, is that Townsend ditched his Auburn hat while fleeing the bank.

War Eagle!
