It’s so refreshing that SEC schools can put aside their differences and Arkansas karaoke singer Liz Honey can belt out a Mariah Carey song for Marcus Lattimore. As you know, Lattimore suffered that horrific leg injury Saturday against Tennessee.
Liz Honey felt the right thing to do was pound out a great version of Carey’s huge hit, ‘Hero.’
Yesterday was Lattimore’s 21st birthday and Columbia, South Carolina decided to throw Marcus a giant birthday/get well soon bash.
“I’ve been fortunate as a head coach for 23 years in college, I’ve coached some really outstanding guys — just super guys who do everything you ask on and off the field — and Marcus is right up there at the top. I sort of put he and Danny Wuerffel as the two guys I don’t know if they ever do anything wrong or not. Somewhere, they’ve got to do wrong, but I’ve never seen these guys do anything but what’s right, and Marcus is such an inspiration to all of us,” said Spurrier.
Is it me or is the SEC getting soft? Like Big Ten soft.
