We’ve officially entered the next stage of the Lingerie Football League becoming a legitimate sports entity thanks to Mark Rypien’s spray tanned daughter, Angela. Word dropped today via her Facebook account that Angela is taking her lingerie & football talents to the Baltimore Charm. Like Curt Flood gaining free agency & Lebron James holding faux press conferences, there are major sports moments when it comes to contracts. This is one of them.
A second-year QB, Rypien is best known as the highest-profile player in LFL history after completing just 10-of-32 passes for 110 yards. Her major announcement went something like this.
It’s Official! I’m headed to Baltimore to play for the Charm! Misiing Seattle already, but about to BRING IT on the East Coast!
Of course this will be huge news in the D.C. market where her father is a Super Bowl legend. It doesn’t hurt that the Washington Post will give her all the free publicity she desires.
Baltimore finished 2-2 during the 2011 season. Starting QB Stacy Moon was 18-of-51 with 161 yards, 4 TDs & 4 INTs. Terms of the deal to get Rypien to Baltimore were not disclosed.
