We’re not sure where Annika Sorenstam is hitting golf balls this morning but she brought along her son, Will, while mom hit a few shots. (It’s the ladies U.S. Open weekend so we’re trying to throw in a few stories to even out the coverage. Yes, the LPGA is quite boring.) This is literally the most entertaining piece of ladies golf pop culture we’ve come across since the Natalie Gulbis fishing photos.
Hitting a few balls. I have one spectator…sleeping however, I must have bored him.
Don’t plan on the best women’s golfer ever coming back to competitive golf, according to the AP.
“Life is good. I love being a mom, and I love just the things I’m doing.”Sorenstam still remains active in the sport even if she hardly plays. She’s set up a golf academy and foundation, along with serving on the advisory board for the LPGA.
“I’ve taken my competitive drive in a different area. I’m very competitive in the business world,” said Sorenstam, who also designs courses, has a clothing line and even is a partner in a vineyard, complete with her own signature wine. “I get my competitive fix there.”
