Of course you weren’t sitting on your ass all weekend keeping tabs on the happenings out of the Central Florida football locker room.
That is the scene of the latest controversy that’ll have legs for the next 24-hour blog cycle and then go away.
George O’Leary caught shit over the weekend for allowing Axis Magazine to shoot Playboy’s Miss July Shanna McLaughlin wearing UCF logo-ed shirts and rub her hot, recent college grad body against a locker.
“I approved the magazine,” O’Leary told a Sentinel reporter after practice ended Saturday. “The guy called my office and basically wanted to know if they could do a magazine shoot. There was a UCF girl who had her MBA and all that. And the only thing I asked is, ‘Is that a magazine that is distributed on campus?’ And they said, ‘Yes.’ They’ve done I think four, since I’ve been here at least four, initial copies of football [previews] opening up the football season.”
O’Leary said he was shown a copy of the magazine cover.
“Eh, it’s not what I expected, but I don’t think there’s anything outlandish on the thing. I never saw the video.”
Calm down, Florida dorks. Like this is the end of the world? Nobody was arrested. Nobody lost a scholarship. Nobody showed nip. Nobody disrupted a practice.
This will bring your school all sorts of positive exposure. The photos will pass around the Internet. High school seniors will use Shanna’s photo as a desktop background. Grown men will swoon.
It’s ok, Florida dorks. Skin won’t damage your reputation.
