Cuff ‘Em: Mich. Cop Rocking Out To Head East Classic, ‘Never Been Any Reason’ Before Lions President Tom Lewand DUI Stop

Today we’re going to analyze the 20-minute police video of Detroit Lions President Tom Lewand being pulled over for DUI.

The Detroit Free Press obtained the video (after the jump) and it has several highlights, such as it opening with the officer tuned into the local classic rock station (yes, it’s Michigan – is there a choice) that happens to be playing the Head East classic, ‘Never Been Any Reason.’

There’s never been any reason, for ever telling me why, yea, yea.

Save my life, I’m going down for the last time.
Woman with the sweet lov’in, better than a white line.
Bring a good feeling ain’t had in such a long time.
Save my life, I’m going down for the last time.

The officer gets out of his car and starts asking questions.

“What’s that smell?”

Maybe breath mints, Lewand tells him. Oh, Tom!

We’re juggling what’s worse, the cop listening to the horrible classic rock or this bullshit response from the Lions chief. It’s a great video to watch on your lunch break. Again, 20 minutes.

Nice outfit, Tom.
