Cuff 'Em: California Soccer Player Tackles Ref, Jailed On Felony Battery Charge!

riv_ssoccer06_1270_2wl0p4bje_300A 31-year-old Canyon Lake man (Charles Winston Haynes) was arrested Sunday after he tackled a soccer referee who had ejected him from an adult game in Temecula, police said.

“I don’t know what happened. I just made a really bad decision. I just pray that he’s OK,” he said. “I would imagine that everybody hates me right now. I wasn’t maliciously trying to hurt him.”

Dude was jailed on felony battery charges and had bail set at $65,000. A life-changing arrest over a stupid adult league soccer game. Seems appropriate, no?
