Vermont Woman Arrives On Family Vacation In South Carolina, Tries To Choke 11-Year-Old, Hits Dad With Hot Pocket

via Horry County, SC Police Department

I don’t know if Rebecca Elizabeth Silver of Bennington, Vermont was on drugs (likely) when she had a meltdown for the ages on her family Sunday in Horry County, South Carolina as her family arrived for a vacation, but if not, it’s a miracle because Silver turned in one of the druggiest-sounding police reports in recent memory and I see a ton of crazy shitt out of Florida. I’ve been at this a long time and I’ve never heard of a woman possibly smoking weed and then trying to choke out an 11-year-old girl.

That’s definitely not weed. No way she could raise her arms to choke out an 11-year-old if it was good weed. Maybe it was laced. Again, not an expert, just things that I’ve heard over the years because weed guys always want to make sure you know how super chill they are.

From WBTV:

A short time later, Silver was making a Hot Pocket and began yelling at the 11-year-old, according to the report. Authorities say she then approached the child and began pushing and hitting her. The child tried to push her off, but Silver reportedly sat on her back and pinned her down.

She then allegedly grabbed the 11-year-old by the throat, and “squeezed so hard it stopped her airway for 5-10 seconds,” the report states.

Police say Silver’s mother heard the commotion and tried to intervene, but the suspect reportedly slapped her in the face and started attacking her. Silver then struck a 10-year-old boy as he tried to push her off the grandmother, according to police.

Here’s where things take a wild turn. This doesn’t sound like any weed smoker I’ve ever been around. Throw a Hot Pocket? No way, you’re crushing that Hot Pocket while listening to Pink Floyd and watching lasers on the ceiling.

Silver eventually went back to the Hot Pocket and threw it at her father’s face, burning his nose, the report states.

Silver left the residence and was found by police a few blocks away at a convenience store “drinking with some local homeless men,” according to the report.

I checked with Horry County and Elizabeth is still in jail on a variety of charges that are:

  • SIMPLE ASSAULT (NO BATTERY)   /   Pre-Trial   /   $1,000.00
  • POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHENALIA   /   Pre-Trial   /   $400.00
  • SIMPLE POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA   /   Pre-Trial   /   $600.00
  • RESISTING ARREST   /   Pre-Trial   /   $5,000.00 (2 charges)
  • UNLAWFUL NEGLECT OF CHILD OR HELPLESS PERSON BY LEGAL CUSTODIAN   /   Pre-Trial   /   $10,000.00

Can’t really blame her family here for leaving her in jail while they vacation. Less headaches and no more wasted Hot Pockets.
