Usually when I think of Joey Votto, the first thing that pops to mind is a massive Canadian with impeccable plate discipline. And going forward, that likely won’t change… but I’ll also never forget watching this video of a Votto superfan screaming out his name with all her heart:

On April 19, 2016, myself and three friends attended the Rockies/Reds baseball game down in Cincinnati. What we didn’t realize was that we would be meeting Joey Votto’s #1 fan that night. Take away from the game: I now know that Joey Votto’s middle name is Daniel and his last name has 19 O’s at the end of it.
What did Votto superfan get for all that unconditional love? An 0-fer, but he did see the second-most pitches on the team that night!
