The end of LSU football?
So the governor of Louisiana issued a warning Thursday that economics times are so bad in the state that LSU football might have to be canceled. Yeah right. Like that’s going to happen. The governor also mentioned that schools might have to be closed in April. “If you are a student attending one of these universities, it means that you will receive a grade of incomplete, many students will not be able to graduate, and student-athletes across the state at those schools will be ineligible to play next semester,” Edwards said, according to The Times-Picayune. “That means you can say farewell to college football next fall.” Of course the governor is also trying to get the largest tax increase in Louisiana history passed. If there’s one thing I know about the south and its football, Louisiana will pay whatever it takes so football doesn’t disappear. God bless the SEC and increased taxes to pay for it.
