Buy Joe Staley’s Bland San Jose Home — $1.95 Million

Joe Staley may be one the premier tackles in the NFL, but there’s no doubt he’s in for a long season with the hapless San Francisco 49ers.
But hey, don’t feel too bad for ol’ Joe. He received a nice little salary bump last year after the team decided to extend him through the 2019 season, and is now looking to upgrade from his four-bedroom home in San Jose.
According to public records, Joe originally purchased the home in 2008 for $1.75 million, so he may potentially be looking at a slight profit.
Information from Staley’s realtor:

Stunning pool home recently remodeled and situated on an expansive 9k+ Sq. ft sun-filled lot. This 4 bedroom, 3 bath residence enjoys a prime location and countless amenities. Gorgeous materials and hardwood flooring fills all main living spaces, with crown molding, hand-placed stone fireplace, granite counter tops, blanched shutters, and surround sound throughout. Chefs kitchen with entertainers bar off the great room is outfitted with Viking appliances, intuitive lighting, wine fridge and ample storage. The master suite features walk-in closet with built-in system, spa bath and a tucked away location offering privacy and a serene view of the pool and waterfall. The covered outdoor verandah leads to the stone set pool, spa, BBQ station, outdoor shower, and fire feature. An oversized fruit and vegetable garden box enjoys ideal climate and completes this idyllic home.

Listen, there’s no doubt the interior is tastefully done with modern upgrades (and that the pool is nice), but there are no defining characteristics that really call out to us. We guess that’s what happens when you see homes that have indoor pools.
