Looks like the Nuggets mascot — Rocky — went a little high with that tackle last night during halftime at the Broncos preseason game. And then there was the taunting. I like this. Goodell has taken the attitude out of the NFL, so I have no problem with Rocky getting back to the basics even if it’s during a halftime game. Kids need to learn that the defense used to be allowed to hit.
That hit looked a little Steve Atwater-like. You come over the middle or around the edge and you’re going to meet your maker. It’s paycheck vs. paycheck and Steve was cashing his. You were going to get some.
As for the last time Rocky made news, that came in 2013 when he passed out during a bit at a Nuggets game. Good to see he’s back.
