Indy Brewery Says Line Worker 'Biscuit' Stamped Cans With "Tom Brady Sux"

Of course you remember our coverage on Monday of Indy’s Sun King Brewing stamping beer cans with “Tom Brady sux.” I mentioned how this is genius free marketing because one photo turned into a Busted Coverage post, which was then reposted on Barstool, which led to a story this morning from the Indy Star on the origins of the “Sux” stamp, which led to a post on Sports Illustrated, then Larry Brown Sports, then a BC reader sending word that the Star was investigating.
Annnnnddddd…like I said…that’s how you get yourself free marketing.
I called it. Been at this game way too long. Know all the tricks from these brands. So here’s the story from the Star on how this all went down. Some line worker named “Biscuit” is being credited with the stamp.

“It was a prank by Biscuit,” Sun King co-owner Clay Robinson said Tuesday morning.

“It wasn’t an idea we came up with at all,” said Robinson, referring to Sun King the company. “Every day, we change the thing on the bottom of our cans. One of the guys running the canning lines had to come up with something. Biscuit is his name. So Biscuit put ‘Tom Brady Sux.'”

And, Robinson, concedes, “I actually thought it was funny. Now there are thousands of cans out there that say ‘Tom Brady Sux.'”

Now Robinson is getting these messages on the Sun King Facebook page.
