Seriously, you just never know where ARod will show up. You could’ve given me 100 chances to guess where PED would’ve spent Saturday and I would’ve never guessed South Bend to watch the Michigan-Notre Dame game. I can’t believe ARod even knows where South Bend is on a map. But there he was, first in his dress shirt that was eventually switched out with a Notre Dame polo and his green cup that was reportedly filled with white wine.
How does this happen? I have zero idea. Five months ago the guy started appearing at Stanford, supposedly working as a hitting coach. As for football, the real shocker here is that the guy is very public about his love for the Miami Hurricanes. There can’t be a bigger ARod college football move than suddenly showing up at Notre Dame and wearing Irish gear? Maybe he can’t remember way back to 1988 and the Catholics vs. Convicts game, which the Irish won, 31-30, which is considered the greatest win in Notre Dame football history.
