I just missed this graphic last night while flipping between some show on HGTV and the Sunday Night Football game. The AT&T DVR box wouldn’t rewind so I had to wait until our old Cincinnati friend Lindsay Patterson uploaded it this morning.
The numbers don’t lie. There they are. Andy Dalton and Peyton Manning are pretty much the same QB through three seasons.REPEAT, THROUGH THREE SEASONS. WE’RE NOT TALKING ABOUT AN ENTIRE CAREER. THREE SEASONS!
Of course Browns fans can’t read and would be the fans who want to fight about this one. That would be the franchise that is talking about a two-QB system.
And my favorite is this guy who thinks the Colts were a complete shithole during Peyton’s first couple years. Remember, Marshall Faulk was the running back in 1998, Manning’s rookie season. He only had 1,300 rushing yards. Marvin Harrison was there, too. Then, in 1999, some guy named Edgerrin James came to Indy.
So let’s take a look at how the teams compared for the QBs in their first season. Both had above-average running backs. AJ Green was a rookie.
