I’m heading to Cleveland today for the final open practice of Johnny Manziel’s rookie season. We now know he won’t be starting Monday night in Washington so the Browns can see more from Brian Hoyer. This QB battle has been so damn interesting. One day Hoyer is Tom Brady, the next day I’m told that Manziel will start in Pittsburgh for Week One. I still say the play is to let Hoyer fail because it’ll be so much easier for Manziel to be the savior. You can’t let him be the one to fail early. Don’t worry, Hoyer won’t play well enough to keep his job. If that was the case he’d already own the job and there wouldn’t even be a discussion about Manziel playing this year.

Take the Jags. They’ve said that Blake Bortles won’t see the field this season. Then the guy goes out during two preseason games and goes 18-28 for 277 yards.

Meanwhile, a math lesson from @ESPNStatsInfo:

SEC Network is now live…Since 1990, SEC has won 163 team national championships, more than 6 per year

We get it. Thanks for bashing us over the head. Assholes.
