Silverdome Liquidation Auction Day One Highlights

Day one of the Silverdome liquidation auction is over and the big news of the day is that the Superbowl XVI sign only sold for $750, plus $100 removal fee. (The Silverdome is in such bad shape that the auctioneers aren’t allowing the general public into the structure to remove items.) $850 plus tax is a steal for that sign on the memorabilia market.
There are very few items being sold in the two-day auction with actual football references. This is more of an industrial sale where you can buy entire public restroom sets, decrepit luxury suite furniture and football lockers that might’ve been used by NFL greats.
Section seating signs went for $43. A lighted Silverdome seating chart went for $355. A wheelchair sold for $12. A beautiful bar once used by elites at Lions games sold for $5. The entire bar …. $5. All of it.
You still have time to buy a Silverdome item. The auction continues Thursday – bid here.
