Caitlin Brunell won the 2014 Miss Alabama pageant on Saturday night. If her name sounds familiar, it’s because she is the daughter of former Jags, Redskins, Saints and Jets quarterback Mark Brunell (or because you creep on pageant contestants too much).
A University of Alabama grad — and dance team alum — Caitlin Brunell (@cjbrunell) is a pageant veteran who won the Miss Alabama sash on her third try. She will proudly represent her state at the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City this September.
Caitlin Brunell File
Regional Title: Miss Leeds Area
Talent: Danced to “Let It Go” from Frozen
Platform: Caitlin’s Closet – which “collects and distributes new and gently used party, homecoming and prom apparel to those in need.”
Of course, as a ‘Bama grad, Caitlin is decidedly not a huge fan of one Johnny Manziel. When Johnny Football’s stock dropped during the NFL Draft, Brunell piled on. Shots fired ahead:
Not surprised by Manziel. I don’t know what coach would want that guy with that kind of attitude and behavior to be the leader of his team!

Guess we know who won’t be in Atlantic City with her this fall.
In case you were wondering, Brunell’s title is NOT the same crown once held by Katherine Webb. That’s Miss Alabama USA (currently held by Jessica Ahlberg, who finished in the Top 20 in last night’s pageant on NBC).
