Autocorrect and spell check have turned us into a nation of terrible spellers. That’s why the finalists of the 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee deserve our respect.

We just hope these kids still remember how to spell so proficiently when they enter college in a few years. Beer can make you S-T-U-P-I-D.

Even with crucial games in both the NHL and NBA conference finals, NSFW black dudes took time to weigh in on the spelling bee final, especially since it aired on ESPN. These guys never miss an important topic.

UPDATE: The 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee ended in a tie. Co-champions Ansun Sujoe if Fort Worth, Tex. and Sriram Hathwar of Painted Post, N.Y. ran through all the words organizers had set aside for the contest.

It was the first tie in 52 years. MLB Commissioner Bud Selig would be proud.
