Maybe you guys heard the Tony LaRussa was brought in to clean shit up with the Arizona Diamondbacks. That would seem to mean that GM Kevin Towers is on a short leash until Tony is ready to assume his position. In other news, Kevin’s lovely five bedroom, six bedroom house has been for sale since November. The asking price is now at $1,950,000 and Kev has dropped the price three times since March.
I’ll assume he really, really wants to sell this beautiful retreat. What’s the rush?
According to his realtor:
True Mexican style, Arizona feel and romance with patios, fireplaces, fountains and courtyards lushly landscaped. The textures, colors and finishes are warm, rich and authentic. Almost everything is handmade in Mexico. The extra touches of hand-painted tiles, mosaics and frescos make this home pure romance. Wonderful wine room stores 350+ bottles. All this Old World feel placed in a wonderful livable floorplan with an open kitchen family room, bonus rooms, an office and guest quarters. See and fall in love.
For all those parents out there with kids who want to play football, please show your child this house. That’s where a baseball GM lives. You don’t have to play 25 years of baseball to afford such a posh lifestyle. Save your body, get really good with numbers/analytics and get a baseball front office job.
Then, when you get the GM job, don’t be a moron like Towers.
By the way, that’s a great glove chair in the family room. Best I’ve ever seen.
Mortgage: $7,554/mo. before you figure in taxes and air conditioning costs.
