For those of you who were at work today and didn’t get to see the Yankees game there is something that won’t show up in the box score.
39-year-old Derek Jeter’s range.
I was watching this live and figured Jetes would move to his left, scoop up the grounder, flip to Brian Roberts and the Yankees would turn two on Delmon Young.
And then old Derek Jeter appeared on the screen laboring for a routine ball. So for those of you wondering if Jetes is bluffing on this retirement thing, it’s the real deal. His legs are shot. In fact, let’s just hope he makes it through the whole season.
The Yanks were eventually drilled 14-5; Jeter is batting .250 (5-for-20).
