Alabama’s 38-17 win over LSU on Saturday marked the last time A.J. McCarron will preside over the beating of an SEC foe at Bryant Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide will play Chattanooga at home on Nov. 23, marking McCarron’s final home game of a pretty great career (34-2 as a starter; two BCS titles and counting).
During the LSU game, CBS cameras found McCarron’s mom, Dee Dee Bonner, and his girlfriend, the uber-photogenic Katherine Webb. Verne Lundquist even trolled ESPN and Brent Musburger over Webb.
‘Bama fans are already preparing for life without McCarron, but they may have a harder time replacing Webb. During every home game, Tide fans seem to always ask Webb to pose for pictures, disregarding her Auburn pedigree and her Hollywood aspirations. She doesn’t seem to ever turn any fans away.
Nick Saban will have a solid signal caller lined up to take over for McCarron next season, but Webb may be an even harder act to follow.
