Alex Rodriguez showed up in Tallahassee this weekend for the showdown between third-ranked Florida State and No. 7 Miami. It wasn’t much of a game, with the unbeaten Seminoles drilling the previously undefeated Canes, 41-14.
ARod never attended “The U,” but the embattled Yankees’ third baseman did sign a letter of intent to play baseball for Miami before signing with the Mariners in 1993. Even though he’s a fan of the Hurricanes’ football team, Rodriguez was welcomed into a pre-game tailgate at what seems to be Potbelly’s in Tallahassee.
Not gonna lie: this is a pretty bold move by ARod to walk into a rival’s home bar wearing enemy colors. The sunglasses probably helped his dad-like rap with cute tailgaters.
We’re sure the FSU fans let him have it while he was on the sidelines of Doak Campbell Stadium, though.
