Flyers-Caps Goalie Fight: Ray Emery Beats Braden Holtby To A Pulp [VIDEO]

By         Posted in   Hockey, Video

The Philadelphia Flyers have been awful thus far in the 2013-14 NHL season (3-9-0). The team may have reached a new low on Friday night in a 7-0 home loss to Washington.

However, there was one bright spot for blood-thirsty Flyers’ fans: the Flyers won a line brawl.

Flyers’ goalie Ray Emery beat the crap out of his Caps’ counterpart Braden Holtby during a mutli-player brawl in the third period. Check out the 0:25 mark of the video above to see Emery go HAM.

There were also brutal fights involving Wayne Simmonds and Tom Wilson, Steve Oleksy vs. Vincent Lecavalier and Alexander Urbom vs. Brayden Schenn. The Flyers did well in each.

The Flyers-Caps fight probably won’t turn Philly’s season around, but it was the loudest the Wells Fargo Center has been all year long (except when the fans have been booing).
