The Pizza That Caused Nate Burleson’s Car Crash

Nate Burleson has taken a lot of heat since last week’s car crash in Farmington Hills, Mich., which the Lions’ WR said was caused by reaching for a runaway slice of pizza as he was driving. Burleson broke two bones in his left forearm as a result of the accident.

On Tuesday, Burleson manned up and posted an Instagram pic of his wrecked GMC Yukon AND the offending pizza. His comment:

I’m releasing these pix for 2 reasons: 1) I walked away from a totalled vehicle #Blessed 2) I have to hear all the pizza jokes…lol I’ll start-Yes I am the 5th Ninja Turtle. #LovePizza #LetTheJokesBegin

Ironically, the slice came from Happy’s Pizza, a Detroit-area pizza chain. Burleson hopes to be back this season, but we figure he won’t be rolling by Happy’s again soon.
