Former Rams and Seahawks defensive end Grant Wistrom had a decent NFL career, winning the Super Bowl with St. Louis in 2000. However Wistrom was a big man on campus at Nebraska in the mid-to-late 1990s as a two-time All-American and winner of the Lombardi Award in 1997 as the nation’s best lineman/linebacker.
Wistrom got out of football in 2006 at age 30. He’s since transitioned to CrossFit and is a part owner of CrossFit-Springfield in Missouri. Business must be good, because Wistrom is selling his snooze of a suburban home for $1.5 million.
Obviously, with a heartland location, Wistrom’s house isn’t going to have the elaborate features you’d find in a Florida or California home owned by an athlete. Your investment will get you detailed molding, uniquely styled bathrooms and an in-ground pool and a hot tub. Zzzzzzzz.
Wistrom’s framed Seahawks’ jersey on the wall in the guest bedroom probably isn’t included in the asking price. Is that a deal-breaker for you?
Highlights of Grant Wistrom’s Springfield, Missouri House:
