Fast Forward Football.

For a few hours on Monday night, Twitter was littered with posts that used the words “Eagles” and “Super Bowl” in the same sentence. Incredible.

New Philadelphia head coach Chip Kelly called 53 plays in the first half, and his team was up 33-7 over the Redskins early in the third quarter of what looked to be a blowout win. While Washington rallied to make the game interesting at the end, football fans walked away from Philly’s 33-27 win convinced that the NFL had found its new offensive mastermind.

Kelly’s no-huddle, fast-break style offense gave hope to a big football town which hasn’t had an NFL champ since 1960, and it created envy among other fans whose teams may look to be in slow-motion in comparison. Twitter users noticed, and their analysis was spot-on, as usual.
