Fox Sports Girl Chyna is currently on the #RoadToLaunch Fox Sports bus that’s headed to Boston for Saturday’s launch of Fox Sports 1. Our Fox Sports Girl of the Week seems to be enjoying her time with the rest of the Fox Sports Girls’ crew.
“For me, it’s the first time I’ve gotten to meet the FOX Sports Girls family. I’ve gotten to know them via social media, but meeting in person is a new experience. Everyone is great and so passionate about their sports and region they represent,” Chyna reports.
As for Fox Sports 1, America’s New Sports Network launches Saturday at 6 a.m. EST. The NASCAR Truck Series race begins at 8am EST Live from Michigan International Speedway.
Who is your favorite athlete?
Living: Aaron Rodgers
Non-Living: Reggie White
Both are class acts on and off the field
What is your favorite sports memory?
When the Packers won the Super Bowl in 2011, I was in Vikings territory with a group of friends and got to proudly wear my green and gold while representing Wisconsin. Needless to say, also celebrated an amazing victory and was an experience I’ll never forget.
What sport would you play professionally if you could, and why?
Definitely hockey. I grew up in a hockey family and since my dad is from Canada, I feel I have “hockey blood.” One of my favorite sports, all around, to watch…still waiting on that Wisconsin NHL team!
What’s the best assignment you’ve worked as a Fox Sports Girl?
I’m a “hands on” Girl, so every appearance and experience has been great. But, the Special Olympics community events are my favorite, especially the “Lambeau Leap” when I got to rappel down the side of a historic stadium.
Tell me about this Fox Sports road trip you’ve been on. What have been the highlights? Any of the Fox Sports Girls snore?
For me, it’s the first time I’ve gotten to meet the FOX Sports Girls family. I’ve gotten to know them via social media, but meeting in person is a new experience. Everyone is great and so passionate about their sports and region they represent.
Our experience living a day in the life of soldiers and US Army Base, Fort Campbell was a highlight and something I will never forget. I loved physical training in the morning…in the rain. (we felt extra tough) One of the coolest moments was getting to know a soldier from a town in Wisconsin, it immediately created a bond and it was great to tell him in person how much I appreciate his service to our country.
So far no snoring…but we have a few days on the road left, so we’ll see!
We’ve been passing time by watching our favorite sports movies. I brought a classic: “Miracle, that movie NEVER gets old. And, we have plenty of snacks. My “go to” are the sweets, the Kit Kats are almost gone!
What are you most excited about with Fox Sports 1?
I can’t wait to turn on the network, with a guarantee that it will always be 24/7 sports coverage. I’m also excited to watch my hometown team, Marquette, in the Big East. Can’t wait to see how Regis does in the world of sports – I know he’ll do great!
Over/Under Packers wins this season: 10.5
I was just at Packers training camp. During my “scouting” I noticed the quick rookies Jonathan Franklin and Eddie Lacy, they will definitely help us run the ball more. Bringing on Jones Datone will help strengthen the defense and with Rodgers as quarterback, we have a solid team. I have no doubt we can pave our way to the Super Bowl again.
Better Green Bay quarterback: Favre or Aaron Rodgers?
Rodgers. He has the skills, leadership and knowledge on the field – a complete quarterback.
But, obviously the memories I have of Favre will always be close to my heart, he did great things for the Packers.
Say you were in the Brewers sausage race, which meat costume would you want to wear, and why?
(laughs) The bratwurst because I love lederhosen!
