New NFL Bag Check Disaster; Long Line In ATL, Confusion In S.F.
Remember how the NFL announced it was instituting new bag rules at 2013 games? Yep, those new rules started last night across the league and from what we can tell, it was a giant disaster.
In San Francisco, stadium staff thought they’d be nice and have a free bag check where you could leave your bag and pick it up after the Broncos beat the 49ers, 10-6. As you can see above, that turned into a disaster when staff couldn’t figure out their own bag system.
In Atlanta, as you can see below, fans had to stand in a crazy long line to have their bags checked before entering the Georgia Dome.
The NFL clearly states in its new rules:
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags will be available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com/allclear), or
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
Hate airport lines? Don’t bring a bag to NFL games or you’ll probably go nuts and get arrested.
