Roger Clemens is a real American hero. Remember when every other big league player accused of using PEDs caved and apologized? Not Clemens.
When you’re a man of principle, you stick to your beliefs.
Clemens must believe red cargo shorts are THE go-to outfit for charity golf junkets. After wearing them in the Bahamas last winter, he’s still rocking them at the Harold & Carole Pump Foundation Golf Tournament & Celebrity Dinner in Santa Clarita, Calif. today (see above).
Several other sports personalities are playing the tournament. There will be a dinner tonight to honor Joe Torre, Shaquille O’Neal, Jamie Foxx and Jeffrey Glassman. We figure Clemens packed a change of clothes — maybe some nice Dockers — but we can’t be sure.
Run by David Pump, the CEO of Double Pump Basketball, and his wife, Dana, the Pump Foundation honors the memory of David’s late father and mother by raising millions to “create awareness for the treatment and cure of cancer.”
