Are you a struggling NFL player who thinks you don’t have the stats or enough of a career to land a model girlfriend? There is hope, because St. Louis Rams tight end Mike McNeill (
@Mike_McNeill82) only has four career catches for 31 yards and is dating Miss Missouri 2012 Katie Kearney.
McNeill, who was undrafted out of Nebraska in 2011, spent all of 2012 with the Rams after appearing in four games for the Colts in 2011. He’s in Rams camp battling to make the 2013 team.
Kearney (@KatieKearney_), who calls herself an aspiring reporter and a sports radio talk show host, is from St. Louis and is the daughter of former NFL linebacker Tim Kearney, a nine-year vet who played for the Bengals and Rams.
The good news for this happy couple is that it looks like Mike could be seeing more catches this year if they’re to believe offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.
“We’ve got great depth,” Schottenheimer said. “(Harkey’s) having a great camp. Mike McNeill is a guy, obviously, who is a match-up problem. So we’re splitting the reps around but we’ve got some other guys that are stepping up as well. Cameron Graham is making some plays. So that’s going to be a fun room to watch as the competition boils through the preseason.”
