Matt Holliday Homered, Circled Bases With Fly Down Like A Boss

Matt Holliday Fly Open HR

Stodgy old baseball types will tell you that they go to baseball games every day because they always see something new that they’ve never seen before. Well, here’s a great example of that adage: Cardinals’ outfielder Matt Holliday homered against the Cubs last night and then circled the bases with his hog exposed to the world.

It was apparent to crotch spotters everywhere that Holliday went to the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning with his fly down; his dugout definitely knew it. After Holiday hammered a solo blast to center off Cubs’ starter Scott Feldman, he casually circled the bases with his junk exposed to the night air. NBD.

Hell, Holliday even considered doing it again for luck later in the game:

“I thought about the next at-bat, but you know, it’s a family game,” Holliday said. “There are kids in the stands. I don’t want to promote that kind of thing. But if I get in a place where I need to pull out a trick, no pun intended….”

The Cardinals won, 6-1. They haven’t heard from the FCC yet.
