Did Felix Hernandez Buy This $1.4 Million Seattle House Just To Bulldoze It? [PHOTOS]
Seattle Mariners’ pitcher Felix Hernandez is having his normal, dominant year (7-4, 2.49 with 102Ks). That’s the kind of output that lands you a $175 million contract, albeit with a team that has sucked way too often in recent years.
With all that paper, though, why did King Felix spend $1.4 million in May to buy an outdated, suburban home in Clyde Hill, Washington? To bulldoze it, perhaps, according to Realtor.com:
Hernandez recently shelled out $1.4 million for a very suburban, 1964 split-level in Clyde Hill, which would be fine if he was still earning a rookie’s salary… It’s located in an area on the east side of Lake Washington that sports sprawling mountain and water views, which begs the question: Is a bulldozer in its future?
Makes sense. Hernandez also gets to live thisclose to Bill Gates. Imagine those two in a rec softball league? Grab a bat, Ginger Snap!
Highlights of Felix Hernandez’s Clyde Hill, Wash. House:
