Amazing Yasiel Puig Throw Ends Dodgers Game With A Double Play [VIDEO]

By         Posted in   Baseball, MLB

Alert the L.A. jersey chasers: Yasiel Puig is legit (and he has a $42 million contract, ladies). You may remember hearing about the 22-year-old Cuban defector’s abilities in spring training — tape-measure home runs, blazing speed and something about his arm… Well, Puig made his MLB debut on Monday night after being called up from Double-A Chattanooga, and it was pretty spectacular.

Puig finished 2-for-4 at the plate, and he locked up the Dodgers’ 2-1 win over the Padres by throwing an absolute seed from the warning track to Adrian Gonzalez for a game-ending double play on Chris Denorfia.

How awesome was it? This awesome:

Bonus video: Puig’s first MLB hit as called by Dodgers’ legend Vin Scully.
